Instant Factoring Secures a €30 Million Financing Structure to Support 2,000 SMEs

Instant Factoring, a Romanian fintech leader in digital financing solutions for SMEs, announces its participation in a cross-border securitization transaction valued at up to €30 million, a strategic move that opens a new stage of growth for both Romanian fintech and the alternative financing market in Romania and Spain.

The transaction involved the establishment of a securitization fund — “Instant Factoring 2025-I, Securitisation Fund” — in Spain, under the supervision of CNMV, the Spanish financial markets authority, with a Luxembourg-based fund acting as senior creditor.

Operational since October 8, 2025, the fund provides initial financing of €7 million – with €5 million allocated to Romania and €2 million to Spain – and is designed to gradually expand  to €30 million under the same program. This marks a milestone for the Romanian market, as it is the first time a local non-banking financial institution has participated in an international securitization structure.

“The recent partnership with the Luxembourg investment fund positions both Instant Factoring and Romania on the map of major players in alternative finance. This transaction is not only a premiere for a nonbanking Romanian fintech but also a proof that local innovation can generate global trust and support. The capital secured through this structure will strengthen and expand our operations in Romania and Spain, accelerating the growth of thousands of SMEs that depend on working capital to sustain a continuously evolving economy.” – Cristian Ionescu, CEO and Co-founder, Instant Factoring

The transaction reinforces Instant Factoring’s role as a pioneer in alternative digital financing, creating a clear and transparent bridge between international capital and the fast-growing SME sector. It also supports the company’s strategy to consolidate its presence in Romania and expand its operations in Spain, as part of a broader effort to foster stronger European financial collaboration.

The new financing structure enables Instant Factoring to provide over EUR 200 million in additional annual factoring volumes, granting fast access to working capital for more than 2,000 SMEs across both markets.

This structure generates direct and measurable impact within the real economy. SMEs will gain access to liquidity in as little as 24 hours, without bureaucracy, collateral, or traditional banking constraints, a major step toward improving cash flow and strengthening competitiveness among entrepreneurs.

Romania’s factoring market, projected to exceed EUR 10 billion in 2025, shows a rising demand for flexible financing solutions, while Spain’s market has reached EUR 266 billion, according to official industry data. In this context, the new facility positions Instant Factoring as a key player in accelerating SME access to capital across both countries.

Moreover, the partnership underlines Romania’s evolution from an emerging market into a trusted financial partner. For the first time, a Romanian non-banking financial institution demonstrates that it can operate at the standards and credibility level of a international investment structure, setting a valuable precedent for the fintech ecosystem in the region.

“We take pride in the fact that our portfolio performance and disciplined risk management have proven that a Romanian company can be a reliable partner within such a complex international financing framework.”— Cristian Ionescu, CEO & Co-founder, Instant Factoring.
